UDS has demonstrated a reasonably good amount of resilience even in the Backdrop of the current economic slump. Recently, we have created a major Team, ‘Brand & Process Development’ within the Organization. The combined total industry experience of this team exceeds 100 years.

This new Division has already started working on creating a sustainable brand-focused organization through internal branding, employee engagement and process excellence. After all, enthusiastic & committed employees carry enthusiasm to customers & constantly work towards service delight!

Food services

Chennai

We have embarked on a new mission of launching 3 vegetarian Quick Serve Indian cuisine food outlets in Chennai. The restaurants will go operational within the next 6 months.  

We have set an aggressive growth plan in food services. Currently, we provide more than 20000 packs of food, every day. We have a huge and full fledged industrial base kitchen which is housed within our corporate office, Chennai.

In Chennai, we have recently added to our list of clients, RBSC (Reserve Bank of India), HIET Group, Steria (erstwhile Xansa), Ethiraj College for Women, Mahindra City Food Court, Planet Yumm (erstwhile Beach Castle at Elliots Beach).

Hyderabad

In Hyderabad, recently, we have started food catering services at Infosys, Gachi Bowli where we offer a variety of catering options to meet all the needs of about 2500 employees.  

UDS Skill Academy

We have recently adopted a Government ITI at Mudukulathur, Ramnad District under the Skill Development Initiative Scheme of Government of India in Public Private Partnership mode.  We would like to join hands with more such ITIs across the country through this PPP scheme and put in our best efforts to impart the kind of education that would ultimately transform the people into skilled workforce and the schools into Centers of Excellence. 

As a development measure of addressing the skill gaps at grass root level, we have adopted Government sponsored multiple social initiatives. Our joining hands with ‘Magalir Thittam’ have enabled about 1000 employees of our Organization benefit in terms of furthering their skills. We have collaborated with PAN IIT and started a skill based Gurukul school for training Welders and Housekeepers in Uthiramerur near Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu. We have successfully rolled out 6 batches of students numbering about 150 and absorbed all of them in the industry.We are also in the process of setting up UDS Skill Academies across the country as another great measure of backward integration. 

Sponsorship of Industry Meet

After participation in a meet held at Pondy on 28th June 2009, we have recently sponsored another great event at Trichy Chapter on 12th September 2009. The Organization is in regular contact with the industry members through sponsorship of industry meets such as HR forums of NIPM in multiple cities of South India. Both the gatherings were well represented by notable industries such as MRF, Chemplast Sanmar, Cethar Vessels, Karur Vysya Bank, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, BHEL and the like. We have made appealing presentation about our services.

Though we already handle the accounts of some of these clients, we still feel jubilant that such programmes add to our increased visibility in the corporate world.

Unique Support Service at SBI

We are proud to share with our Clients that Team UDS has been partnering with SBI, Belapur and Chennai for the past 5 years offering support services in operations & maintenance of Data Centre infrastructure management. In addition, We are also maintaining about 200 ATM machines of SBI in Pune.

At present, SBI's network of over 15,000 Automated Teller Machines accounts for nearly one-third of the total ATMs in India. State Bank of India is the largest bank owned ATM network in India.  SBI’s ATM and Host locations span the entire breadth and width of the country.
